Article: The Twitter Revolution
Source: Wall Street Journal

Twitter: a revolution? If you want to know from whence Twitter came, this interview with Twitter founders Evan Williams and Biz Stone is a quickie brief.
Biz Stone and Evan Williams are “old” by Internet standards – 35 and 37 years of age, respectively. Stone comes out of a web design and programming background, and Williams kicked around in various jobs for years until 1999 when he founded a management software company. But as a team, they’ve come up with the latest social media phenomenon that people are latching on to. They haven’t come close to Facebook’s devotees yet, but who knows?
Twitter is blasting through the Internet stratosphere – Aston Kutcher, Oprah and Ellen have all grown it amazingly over the past month because of the publicity they’ve given it.
There are many, many other articles on Twitter. One I also liked is Jon Fine’s “Media Centric” column in Business Week (April 20/09), titled: “Twitter Makes a Racket. But Revenues?” Fine indicates that Twitter still has a long, long way to go with its business planning. (Link: http://www.businessweek.com/magazine/content/09_16/b4127089344552.htm)
